Otto Sverdrup is one of the arctic heros of Norway. Together with Fridtjof Nansen he conquered Greenland on ski. When he was not on expeditions, he used to be captain on Hurtigruten. The Otto Sverdrup can take up to 530 travellers. She used to cruise as Finnmarken and has been cruising from 2021 as Otto Sverdrup. The furniture is comfortable, modern and made of natural materials. There are three restaurants and several public ares on board. The wellness area is equipped with fitness equipment and there is a whirlpool. Furthermore, there is an expeditionteam onboard which gives presentations or speeches.

Hurtigruten is a traditional norwegian cruise line. Since 1893 it is active in the mailboat service along the norwegian fjord coast. Every day one of the 11 mailboats starts in Bergen to the 12 day post ship route. Meanwhile Hurtigruten also offers exciting expedition cruises through South America, the Antarctica and lots of other destinations. Sustainability
The ship was developed under consideration of sustainability. She will be equipped with battery packs that reduce emissions and will be charged in port. As the first cruise line Hurtigruten has banned all single-use plastic from its fleed. These things, e. g. straws oder plastic bags will be replaced by paper or other biological disposable material.
